Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, met with Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq, Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization, Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs

On November 23, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, met with Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq, Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization, Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, to discuss cooperation between the two countries through charitable organizations.

Ambassador A. Karagulov expressed gratitude for the successful coordination of the activities of Kuwaiti charitable organizations in Kyrgyzstan on the implementation of targeted projects, the construction of social townships, hospitals and educational institutions. In his turn, Dr. A. Al-Matouq acquainted with the principles, goals and objectives of Kuwait in the charitable sphere, noting the recognition and high assessment of its role by the United Nations. He also confirmed the interest of the Kuwaiti side in continuing this activity in the Kyrgyz Republic, noting the results of his meetings with the heads of state bodies of the country during his visit to Bishkek in September of this year.

Along with this, an exchange of views took place on increasing the efficiency of the activities of charitable organizations and the importance of coordinating their work with state programs and social needs of the country.
