On March 31, 2021, as part of a working trip to Bishkek, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan E. Beishembiev, a group of Pakistani businessmen had a meeting with the Minister of Transport, Architecture, Construction and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic G.Abdraliyeva.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues in particular, the opening of regular direct flights, air cargo transportation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Ambassador highlighted the importance of using and developing transport links between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, noting the Kyrgyz Republic's membership in the "Quadrilateral Agreement between Pakistan-China-Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan on transit traffic", the EAEU, the CIS, which will allow the Kyrgyz Republic to act as a transit "point", "window" for the transit and transportation of goods from Pakistan to the countries of the EAEU, the CIS and in the opposite direction.
