Тhe Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Nurlan Abdrakhmanov met with the Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Şevkit Avdagiç

On March 31, 2021, the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Nurlan Abdrakhmanov met with the Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Şevkit Avdagiç.

The Consul General informed the Chairman about the internal political situation in the country and the upcoming referendum in the Kyrgyz Republic, the current activities of the country's leadership and the Government aimed at developing the socio-economic sector, combating coronavirus and improving the investment climate. He separately noted the promising opportunities and investment potential of each of the regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the meeting, an open exchange of views took place on the issues of Kyrgyz-Turkish trade and economic cooperation, the need to increase trade turnover to $ 1 billion and hold online conferences with the participation of businessmen and representatives of firms from both countries.

In turn, Şevkit Avdagiç informed that a university of the same name functions at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, within the framework of which the exchange of students and teachers between the two countries is possible. An agreement was reached to hold a meeting with the Rector of this university.

Upon completion, the parties agreed on the need for closer mutual cooperation.
