On January 26, 2023, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev and the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fikrat Mammadov.

The parties discussed the results of bilateral cooperation in 2022, taking into account the visits of the heads of state. In particular, it was noted that thanks to the signing of relevant documents by the heads of state Sadyr Japarov and Ilham Aliyev, cooperation between the countries have reached the level of strategic partnership. In addition, issues of cooperation in the legal sphere, in particular, in the field of reforms and innovations in the field of justice, were discussed.

The parties also noted with satisfaction that the current year marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan and stressed the presence of good opportunities between the ministries of justice of the two countries.
