On January 24, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Chairman of the Committee on finance, revenue and economic relations of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in the region and, in particular, in Afghanistan, and also touched upon issues of regional security. At the same time, they exchanged views on the areas of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the strengthening of relations between states.

A separate emphasis was made on the necessity of strengthening of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani inter-parliamentary cooperation by intensifying joint visits and holding various events.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain further regular contacts in order to strengthen relations between the two countries.
