On October 20,2022 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Irfan Iqbal Sheikh.

During the meeting, the parties discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, in particular, the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of agriculture, import-export of food products, industry, as well as the textile and pharmaceutical industries.

Ambassador U.Totuiaev noted the existing potential between business communities and announced his readiness to provide the necessary assistance in the development of the entire spectrum of economic cooperation by establishing and maintaining contacts between business circles of two sides. He especially noted the need to combine efforts aimed at strengthening trade, economic and investment ties between the two countries.

In this regard, he invited the Pakistani side to pay a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic to study promising opportunities and discuss ways to further develop mutually beneficial relations.

In his turn, I.I. Sheikh noted his readiness to more actively promote cooperation in the mutual export-import of various types of products.

As a result of the meeting, the parties to hold joint economic events in the near future: a business forum, product exhibitions and mutual visits of business delegations.
