On 24^th of October, 2021 the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Lira Sydykova participated in the meeting held between Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Niyazbekov and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Turkey Suleiman Soylu in Istanbul.

At this meeting, parties discussed a range of issues, including combating international extremism, human and drug trafficking, cyber and organized crimes, possibility of sharing experience between two authorities, and development of cooperation to maintain and support material – technical base.

Moreover, the Heads of the two Authorities exchanged views on protecting the interests and rights of the Kyrgyz nationals in Turkey, including a request by Kyrgyz side to closely follow the investigation of the case against F.A., a Turkish national, accused of murdering M.A., a national of the Kyrgyzstan, who was killed on October 13^th, 2021 in the city of Tekirdag.

Also, parties exchanged thoughts on speedy resolution to cases against nationals of the two countries, and on the conditions of the Kyrgyz nationals, serving their sentence in the penal institutions of Turkey.
