On January 13, 2020 A touristic "Road Show", organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Republic of Korea jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the Republic of Korea.

Leading Korean tour operators and representatives of travel agencies from Kyrgyzstan such as Ak-Sai Travel, Asia Expeditions, East West travel, C.A.T. Company, Travel Land Kyrgyzstan, Novi Nomad, Best Way and Ryan Tour took a part in the Road show. The total number of participants was over 70 representatives of tourism and other companies of the Republic of Korea, as well as Korean media.

During the event, the Kyrgyz Republic Ambassador Dinara Kemelova made a welcoming speech and, noted a visa-free regime for South Korean citizens, and informed that over the past few years there has been a noticeable increase number of foreign tourists visiting Kyrgyzstan. Ambassador urged the Kyrgyz travel company and South Korea to make Kyrgyzstan a popular tourist destination for South Korean tourists.

Moreover, Deputy Minister - Director of the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Damir uulu made a presentation of tourist potential of Kyrgyzstan and reported that the number of Korean tourists who visited Kyrgyzstan amounted to 16 054 people.

The President of the Association of Korean Tourism Fairs (KOTFA)                      Mr. Kang Sup Park, in his welcoming speech, noted the necessity of launching charter flights between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea at the first stage and expressed hope that such events as road shows will bring Korea and Kyrgyzstan closer and will expand tourism exchanges between the two countries.

On the Road show representatives of the Kyrgyz travel companies presented their company and the services provided in the tourism sector.

Within the framework of the event, the Kyrgyz side organized a video presentation of types of tourism of Kyrgyzstan, performance with Kyrgyz folk dances, B2B meetings between the companies of the two countries, Kyrgyz national dishes, sweets and drinks.

Also, Deputy Minister - Director of the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Damir uulu Maksat held bilateral meetings with the President of the Association of Korean Tourism Fairs (KOTFA), Mr. Kang Sup Park, representatives of Lotte Corporation and other companies.
