On September 6, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Regional Workshop on Strengthening the Nuclear Nonproliferation Regime.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation both on bilateral and multilateral platforms, and also compared notes on upcoming foreign policy events.

The interlocutors expressed their readiness for further interaction in order to expand and deepen Kyrgyz-Russian relations in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership.
