On February 28 of this year by the initiative of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions in pursuance and intensification of the work on the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Japarov to the Republic of Uzbekistan in March 2021, as well as the agreements reached during the bilateral meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic R.A. Kazakbaev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Kh. Kamilov (December 8, 2021, Tashkent) an extended online meeting to discuss the implementation of the Plan of practical measures of the Roadmap Action Plan to expand and deepen cooperation between the border regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

The event was attended by the first deputies of the Plenipotentiary representatives of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions, Heads of district state administrations and their deputies, as well as Mayors of the cities of the mentioned regions.

The participants of the meeting informed about the ongoing work on the implementation of the Plan of Practical Measures of the Roadmap to expand and deepen cooperation between the border regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted the importance of promoting the current issues, as well as initiatives to strengthen cooperation.

The meeting with the head of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions was focused on improving interaction and implementing the decisions of previous meetings of the Council for Border Cooperation.
