H.E. Mr. Ruslan A. Kazakbayev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Du Dewen

On December 2, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the joint fight against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. H.E. Mr. Ruslan A. Kazakbayev expressed gratitude for the decision of the Chinese Government with another humanitarian aid to the Kyrgyz Republic to fight coronavirus infection, as well as for the constant support of Kyrgyzstan in the fight against COVID-19.

During the meeting issues of the full functioning of the Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints were discussed. H.E. Mr. Ruslan A. Kazakbayev expressed confidence that following the results of the meeting of the acting Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Artem Novikov and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China H.E. Du Dewen on December 1, will be able to optimize the work of the above checkpoints in the very near future.

In light of the negative impact of coronavirus infection on the macroeconomic situation, H.E. Mr. Ruslan A. Kazakbayev drew the attention of H.E. Du Dewen to the importance of rendering assistance in alleviating the burden of external debt on the country's budget. The sides expressed their readiness to continue active practical interaction at all levels to further strengthen the bilateral relations of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China.
