Asanov Dair was born on May 30, 1922 in the village of Bash-Kaindy (now At-Bashinsky district of Naryn region).
In 1942 he joined to the Red Army.
Gunner of the 1208th Light Artillery Regiment (31st Light Artillery Brigade, 11th Artillery Division, 6th Army, South-Western Front) Sergeant Dair Asanov distinguished himself in the battle for the village of Pyatka in the Ukrainian district of Pyatigorsk.
On March 23, 1943, during a four-hour unequal battle with the reflection of three tank attacks, a brave soldier-artilleryman destroyed eight tanks, six armored vehicles and forty machine gunners.
During the attack one of the enemy tanks destroyed Sergeant Asanov's tank. Then he, showing military skill and perseverance, together with his comrades continued to dismantle the Hitlerites from the machine gun.
By order of the 6th Army №: 43 / n from: 27.04.1943 Asanov Dair was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree for extermination on March 23, 1943, 3 anti-tank tanks with a distance of 300 meters.
Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 26, 1943, Sergeant Asanov Dairu Asanovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of the Medal of the Order of Lenin for his exemplary performance of combat missions of the command on the battlefield with German-Fascist invaders and manifested in this courage and heroism.
In 1946 he graduated from the Ulyanovsk Tank School, and in 1956 - the Military-Political Academy named after Lenin. Served in the troops. Founded in 1985 and headed the Military Boarding School until 1996 with enhanced military training and in-depth study of the Russian language, was the head of the Kyrgyz State National Military Lyceum. He resigned in 1994 as a major general.
Asanov Dair was awarded the Order of Lenin, two Orders of the Patriotic War of the I degree, three orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Badge of Honor, three medals of Merit, and many other awards of Bulgaria. He was repeatedly awarded honorary diplomas of the Kyrgyz Republic, commanding troops of the Turkestan and Central Asian military districts. For merits in the propagation of scientific knowledge and in military and political education of hard-working and young people awarded the medal of the outstanding Soviet academician Sergei Ivanovich Vavilov, awarded the Book of Honor of the USSR and the Kyrgyz SSR.
