The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine together with the Kiev organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the Samad Vurgun Public Library, in order to implement the Plan of celebration of the 90th anniversary of Ch. Aitmatov, at 29^th of October organized a presentation of a collection of works by Ch. Aytmatov, translated into Ukrainian (“When the mountains fall”, “White cloud of Genghis Khan”, “Date with the son”).

The event was attended by the author of the translation of works of Ch.Aitmatova M.Vaskiv, the head of the S.Vurgun public library G.Chebotareva, an employee of the Kiev organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine M.Goncharuk, poets, writers, journalists, cultural and public figures of Ukraine.

In addition, during the presentation, Candidate of Philology, Vice-President of the Association of Ukrainian Writers L. Dyadchenko read an excerpt from the novel “When the mountains fall” in the Ukrainian language.
