Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas

On December 2, 2021, on the sidelines of the 28th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm, Sweden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas.

During the meeting, a comprehensive exchange of views took place on issues that have a negative impact on the situation in the region, as well as promising areas of cooperation within the CSTO.

Minister R.Kazakbaev briefly informed about the events that took place on November 28 of this year elections of Deputies of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic and made acknowledgment for the traditional active participation of the mission of observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO in the essential event of the country.

Zas provided information on the progress of reconciliation of the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the decisions of the September (2021) session of the collective security council CSTO’s and the implementation of the priority areas of the CSTO activities during the presidency of the Republic of Armenia.

In turn, R.Kazakbaev stated that, unfortunately, not all agreements are being implemented, in this connection, Zas focused on the need to develop an appropriate mechanism to strengthen partnership and develop mutually beneficial cooperation within the CSTO.

R.Kazakbaev stressed that the Kyrgyz side is interested in effective cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic within the CSTO in all areas of mutual interest.
