On December 2, 2021, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm,  Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular Minister P. Szijjarto invited Minister R. Kazakbaev to take part in the next Visegrad Group-Central Asia Foreign Ministers Meeting, which will be held on February 10, 2022 in Budapest.

Also, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary P. Szijjarto announced the planned Visegrad Group - Organization of Turkic States Summit of Heads of State in April-May 2022 in Budapest.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic R. Kazakbaev noted that next year the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. In this regard, Minister R. Kazakbaev invited Minister P. Szijjarto to pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic in 2022.
