October 1, 2019, Bakyt Dzhusupov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Austria, took part in the Inauguration of the Academic Year at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna - Vienna School of International Studies.

At the event, with the participation of the leadership, faculty, students of the Academy, as well as the diplomatic corps of Vienna, the President of the National Council of Austria, Wolfgang Sobotka has spoken an honorary guest.

The director of the Academy Emil Brix, in his opening remarks, informed the participants about the history of the Academy, its achievements and plans for the future. It was noted that at present 205 students from 49 countries of the world are students of the Academy. At the same time, Ambassador Emil Brix emphasized that this year, for the first time, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan entered the Vienna Diplomatic Academy.

After the official ceremony, a brief meeting was held between Ambassador B. Dzhusupov and the leadership of the Academy, during which the Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support and implemented joint projects, including courses for young diplomats carried out in recent years, a trip of 12 Academy students to Kyrgyzstan, as well as a cultural event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov, organized during the past year. The parties also discussed joint plans and possible projects for the future.
