On September 8, 2019, in Doha, by the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, Avazbek Atakhanov, Charge d'Affaires of the Kyrgyz Republic in the State of Qatar met with Mr. Ahmad Ahan Director of the International Cooperation and Agreements Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on acceptable dates for the Second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation, as well as the First meeting of the Kyrgyz-Qatari Business Council.

At the same time, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in exporting its products to the State of Qatar, especially agricultural.

The parties agreed to intensify the search for optimal transport and logistics routes between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar for the further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation.
