Aiming to develop the investment and export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to deepen the scientific, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, on July 17 Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Islamabad held a seminar for the representatives of the Pakistani business community, students of the National University of Modern Languages NUML) and the Institute for Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS).

Taking into account the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the SCO in 2018-2019, the event was organized by the Embassy jointly with the Pakistani side within the One week Certificate Course on “Shanghai Cooperation Organization”, starting from 16-20 July 2018.

During the speech, H.E.Ambassador Erik Beishembiev told the audience about Kyrgyzstan, its historical, cultural and spiritual peculiarities, as well as export, investment and tourist potential. At the same time, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the advantageous geographical location, the benefits of the Kyrgyz Republic’s recent membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, the provision of the GSP + status by the European Union to Kyrgyzstan, thanks to which the exporters from the country can supply goods to the EU at zero tariff rates, as well as the efforts of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at further improving the favorable investment climate in the country.
