On November 11, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev met with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sheikh Shah Muhammad Owais Noorani Siddiqui.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, including those regarding the regional and international agenda, as well as the situation in Afghanistan. In particular, the importance of developing mutual contacts and conducting joint activities in order to strengthen interstate trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation was emphasized.

The parties were unanimous in their opinion that a single religion and a common historical heritage are a link that unites the peoples of the region and can become the basis for further comprehensive development.

Ambassador U.Totuiaev, noting the significant historical, cultural and religious closeness between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, emphasized the importance of promoting bilateral initiatives aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade, enhancing economic cooperation, popularizing culture, and developing cooperation in the fields of education and science. In this regard, he noted the importance of the implementation of joint projects, including the CASA-1000 energy project, as well as joint work to improve the legal framework for bilateral cooperation.

In his turn, Sh. Siddiqui outlined Pakistan's desire to maintain and develop diverse cooperation with friendly countries. Considering the above, he expressed his readiness to support and comprehensively promote the implementation of joint initiatives and projects.
