On December 7-8, 2019 in one of the largest industrial centers of Pakistan - the city of Guzhranvala, with the active assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Pakistan and under the auspices of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, the 3rd international mass-wrestling championship of Pakistan was held with the participation of about 500 athletes representing 26 teams from all over the country , guests from Russia, the USA and Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan also organized a photo exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 30th anniversary of the state status of the Kyrgyz language; performance of national dance and Kyrgyz music.

The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in his speech noted the thousand-year history of mass-wrestling or in the Kyrgyz language -Tayak Tartysh, a description of which is available in the epic Manas, as well as the importance of the event as a festival of sports, culture and friendship.

Successful sports and photo exhibitions were popular and received wide response among the public and media in Pakistan.

The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic also met with the President and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Guzhranvala and informed about the trade, economic, investment, tourist potential of our country, noted the important role of Kyrgyzstan as a short road from Central Asia through the border points of Irkeshtam and Torugart to China and beyond to Pakistan, participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the “Quadrilateral Agreement between the IRP-PRC-KR-RK on transit transport”, as well as the possibility of Pakistan entering the markets of Central Asia, the EAEU and the EU.
