Cooperation in sphere of education

In different Higher Educational Institutions(HEI) of the Kyrgyz Republic (mainly in medical HEI) about 11000 Pakistani students are studying.

From 1 till 9 October 2016 a working visit of the delegation of Higher Educational Commission, the Ministry of education and HEI of Pakistan paid visit to Bishkek, during which meetings at the ministries and agencies, as well as visit to KR HEI, were held.  

On 13-19 January 2017 a visit of the International University of Kyrgyzstan(IUK), academician A.Aidaraliev was held to Lahor, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar was held, which  resulted in signing of 5 Memorandums of understanding between IUK and Pakistani Universities.

Kyrgyz-Pakistani International Institute of medical sciences under International University of Kyrgyzstan had been opened in 2017.

On February 16-17, 2021, the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Beishenaliev paid a working visit to Pakistan.

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation

In 2017 in Islamabad in the framework of celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between KR and IRP first time a painting and photo exhibition with demonstration of Kyrgyz films was arranged.

Pakistani sports delegation participated twice at the World Nomad Games in 2016 and 2018 in Kyrgyzstan.

As part of environmental diplomacy, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Pakistan Snow Leopard Conservation Foundation, held three events in 2019 dedicated to the importance of ecotourism and conservation of the snow leopard's habitat.

On December 7-10, 2019, the 3rd National Mass Wrestling Championship of Pakistan was held under the auspices of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of about 500 athletes representing 26 teams from all over the country, guests from Russia, the USA and Kyrgyzstan, as well as a photo exhibition dedicated to 75 anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 30th anniversary of the state status of the Kyrgyz language.

On February 7, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Snow Leopard Foundation of Pakistan, organized the exhibition "Art for the Conservation of the Snow Leopard", and on March 3, 2020, held at the National University of Computer and New Sciences of Islamabad, the celebration of World Wildlife Day on the theme "Sustaining the whole life on earth."

In the second quarter of 2020, through the efforts of the Embassy, ​​humanitarian aid was attracted in the amount of 9 thousand 890 US dollars, as well as humanitarian cargo in the form of 3-layer medical masks in the amount of 1800 pcs., 3600 pcs. medical gloves and 72 pcs. protective suits, 12 pulse oximeters, 64 blood glucose meters, 80 thermal cameras, 300 antibody tests, 5,000 3-ply masks, 1,200 N95 masks.

On December 5, 2020, the Embassy sent humanitarian aid in the form of medicines and PPE to the Ministry of Health to combat the spread of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic. Medicines and medical supplies in the amount of $18,000.

On March 28, 2021, representatives of the pharmaceutical company Salbion Health Sciences, as part of their participation in the international exhibition Expo Kyrgyzstan-Eurasia 2021 in Bishkek, handed over to the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic a humanitarian cargo in the form of immunoprotective vitamin complexes with a total weight of 400 kg. $4,055

On April 9, 2021, the National Disaster Management Committee of Pakistan handed over humanitarian aid to the Embassy in the form of 5,000 N95 medical masks, 5,000 protective suits, 5,000 protective shields, with a total weight of 1,400 kg. for the health care needs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the fight against coronavirus infection.
On July 6, 2021, in Islamabad, a presentation of the book by Ch. Aitmatov with the stories "Jamila", "Farewell, Gulsary" and "Spotted dog running along the edge of the sea" was held

On September 30, 2021, a solemn reception organized by the Embassy on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad.
As part of the activities to attract assistance and restore the Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy worked out the attraction of humanitarian aid in the form of vitamin complexes, with a total weight of about 200 kg, in the amount of more than 8 thousand US dollars. The dispatch of the cargo to the Kyrgyz Republic took place on October 3 this year.

On March 31 - April 1, 2022, In Bahawalpur, Pakistan, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan, the Annual Mass-Wrestling Championship of Pakistan was held, in which hundreds of athletes from all over the country took part.

On March 21, 2022 The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan took part in an event organized in Islamabad on the occasion of the celebration of Nooruz, which was also attended by compatriots living in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On May 23, 2022,  The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan took part in an event called “Connecting through colors” organized by the Association of Women of Foreign Establishments Accredited in Pakistan, in which national women's clothing from the Kyrgyz Republic was demonstrated.

On June 6, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev spoke at the annual seminar on the occasion of the celebration of World Environment Day.

On June 29, 2022, in the city of Gujranwala, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with the assistance of the "GIFT" University, a solemn event was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On September 8, 2022, in Islamabad the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies of Pakistan organized a seminar, dedicated to the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The International Forum of Rectors in Bishkek, held on September 14-15, 2022, was attended by Syed Amir Gilani, Vice-Rector and Dean of the University of Lahore. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Higher School of Medicine and the University of Lahore, within the framework of which it is planned to organize an internship for graduates of the Kyrgyz university in Pakistan, as well as cooperation in the fields of research, internships and academic exchanges.

On November 2 - November 4, 2022, Islamabad and Lahore of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan hosted a large-scale event dedicated to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the fields of education, culture and tourism, as well as to the celebration of 30th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan with the support of the Department of National Heritage and Culture of the Government of Pakistan.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on political, public affairs, national heritage and culture H.E. Engineer Amir Muqam, representatives of travel companies, national dress designers and artists invited from the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of the educational, cultural and tourism sectors of the host country.

Among the main goals were the promotion of educational programs of the Kyrgyz Republic among the community of the host country, strengthening cultural ties between the two countries, as well as demonstrating the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, the participants were shown elements of the culture and life of the Kyrgyz Republic, national clothes, as well as presentations of tourism opportunities.

As part of this event, a performance by artists from the Kyrgyz Republic was organized to promote the Kyrgyz culture.

 

On November 2-4, 2022, large-scale events were organized in the cities of Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the fields of education, culture and tourism, with the participation of travel companies, artists and designers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On April 28, 2023, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Islamabad organized a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 95th anniversary of the People's Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Ch. Aitmatov.

On May 6, 2023, with the support of the Embassy in Bishkek, an event called “Spring Music Festival” was organized with the participation officials and artists from Pakistan.

On May 10, 2023, a solemn event was held in Gilgit, Pakistan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan and the 95th anniversary of the People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan Ch.T.Aitmatov. A concert was organized for guests and participants of the event with the participation of manaschy, poets and artists from Kyrgyzstan. During the visit, historians of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted a study of the history and life of ethnic Kyrgyz (direct descendants of Zhanybek Kazy living in the village of Immit, Gilgit-Baltistan province of Pakistan).

On June 3-4, 2023, the 6th Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Championship was held in the city of Gujranwala, Pakistan, with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On August 31, 2023, a gala reception dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Islamabad.
