In the last decade of the last century, Kyrgyzstan, having gained its independence, opened a new page in its history, starting, first of all, to adopt state symbols.

And today we celebrate the Day of the adoption of the State Flag.

I congratulate everyone on the Day of the adoption of our State Flag, which proudly flutters against the backdrop of mountains as a sign of victory, success, and patriotism!

Being the state symbol of the country, the National Flag distinguishes it, it personifies sovereignty and points the way to a fair, bright future.

The national flag should strengthen and unite from within the whole people, society, promote the elevation of their interests over personal, narrow interests, tribal, religious, territorial exceptions, serve to awaken the nationwide national pride, nobility, morality, common sense and tolerance.

Since the colors and elements of the National Flag are based on the historical, social, spiritual, artistic and aesthetic culture of our people, they are symbols that are deeply rooted in the worldview and soul of our people. Their reflection on the flag of our state strengthens faith in the spirit of the ancestors, the ancient beliefs of the people and the peaceful, prosperous future of the country. Therefore, this banner has its own special place in history! Nobody has the right to forget about it!

The fluttering red banner of independence, containing the paraphernalia of the sun, radiating forty rays, like the forty knights of Manas, and the tunduk symbol, personifying the unification of the whole people to achieve a common goal - this is the most important happiness of our people!
