Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 30 years of the State status of the Kyrgyz Language, Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in collaboration with University of the Punjab, Lahore and Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad organized a Photo Exhibition and an Interactive session with the students of the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

H.E. Mr. Erik Beishembiev in his speech said, “Although the Kyrgyz Republic this year marks the 28th anniversary of state independence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has its 75-year history, which began when Kyrgyzstan was part of the USSR. On 17th March 1944, Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic adopted a law on establishment of Peoples Commission of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz SSR and this day is considered as beginning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.” He also said “on September 23 my country celebrated 30 years of State status of Kyrgyz Language. In 1989 the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic adopted a law on State Language which established State status of Kyrgyz Language and recognized free development and usage of other language in the country”.
