On November 17, 2020, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Erik Beishembiev visited Gwadar and took part in the summit “Business Opportunities of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor-Central Asian Countries”. The summit was organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where heads of the diplomatic missions of the Central Asian countries accredited in Pakistan, political and state leaders of Pakistan and Pakistan’s business circles representatives were invited.

The event was attended by representatives of more than 100 companies, such as “Pakistan International Airlines”, “Innovative Energy Solutions”, “Qmarketing”, “COPHC”, “MPCL” and others. The detailed information provided about the investment, trade and economic opportunities of the port in Gwadar. The management of China Overseas Ports Holding Company suggested the Kyrgyz side to consider the possibility of cooperation with the port, and also announced readiness to open the port of Gwadar for Kyrgyz businessmen.

During the summit, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Pakistan H.E. Mr. Erik Beishembiev made a speech and informed the participants of the summit about the economic and investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
