On working visit of the Head of the diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan, H.E. Mr. E.Beishembiev, to Karachi

On May 14-16, 2019, as part of the working visit of the Head of the diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan, H.E. Mr. E.Beishembiev, to Karachi, Sindh province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, he met with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan H.E. Mr.Sadiq Sanjrani, Governor of Sindh H.E. Mr.Imran Ismail, president of the FFPCCI Mr. Daroo Khan Achakzai, president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Junaid Esmail Makda and chairman of the Pakistan Memon Federation Mr.Mansoor Ahmed Kadwani. 

During the conversation, the sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and expansion of trade and economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, as well as establishment of direct business contacts between Kyrgyz and Pakistani private enterprises, which will be facilitated by coordination and support from the state structures of the two countries. 

Ambassador E.Beishembiev also noted the importance of complementarity of state economies, the creation of Kyrgyz-Pakistani enterprises in various sectors of the economy, taking into account the opportunities for both countries having the “GSP +” status.

Besides, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan organized a Round Table on issues of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in the field of tourism.

At the meeting, issues such as the resumption of direct flights between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, visa problems, the experience of Kyrgyzstan in the development of tourism were discussed.

Members of the Association of Tour Operators of Pakistan were also informed about all types of tourism in Kyrgyzstan, including resort, recreational, adventure tourism, as well as mountaineering.

The Pakistani side expressed interest in establishing contacts with Kyrgyz tour operators as soon as possible in order to create travel programs of Kyrgyzstan for Pakistani tourists.        

During the meetings with the Kyrgyz citizens, Consul consulted citizens on topical issues of Pakistan’s migration legislation and provided other relevant information.

The meetingswas held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
