On September 14, 2021, in Lahore, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Mayor and Commissioner of Lahore, Captain Mr. Muhammad Younis.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the emerging situation in Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, associated with the rapid spread of the Delta «COVID-19» strain, and exchanged views on measures taken in both countries to combat the disease.

Also the interlocutors discussed issues of bilateral visits exchange, the development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, as well as the signing of Sister cities Agreement between Osh and Lahore.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic U.Totuiaev emphasized the deep historical roots of Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations, informed about the trade, economic and investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan within the EAEU and the EU GSP + program, as well as about the transit potential of the country.
