On June 28, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the President of the Faisalabad Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mrs. Nighat Shahid.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the agenda of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation, in particular, prospects for cooperation in the field of the textile industry, import-export of food products, mining, and agriculture.

Ambassador U.Totuiaev emphasized the significant role of women in business development and informed the Pakistani side about promising areas for further cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and announced his readiness to provide the necessary assistance in the development of trade and economic cooperation by establishing and maintaining contacts between business representatives of the two sides.

 In her turn, N. Shahid, noting the interest of representatives of the business community of Faisalabad in entering the market of Central Asian countries and, in particular, Kyrgyzstan, announced her intention to work more actively in this direction together with the Kyrgyz side.

The parties agreed to organize a business visit of representatives of Pakistani companies working in the textile industry to the Kyrgyz Republic in the near future.
