On September 13, 2021, as part of a business trip to Lahore, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan H.E. Mr.Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Tahir Manzoor Ch., as well as honorary members of the Chamber.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding trade and economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and establishing direct business contacts between Kyrgyz and Pakistani private enterprises.

Ambassador Ulanbek Totuiaev noted the interest of Kyrgyzstan in expanding trade, economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries, informed about the stabilization of political and socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, and also focused the attention of the honorary members of the Chamber on the huge potential for interaction between Kyrgyz and Pakistani business communities in various fields, including agriculture, textiles and pharmaceuticals.

The parties paid special attention to the issues of expanding transport interaction, in particular, the resumption of regular civil and cargo flights between the countries.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to make joint efforts to further strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
