On the Round Table “Kyrgyzstan - Pakistan: Trade and Investment Partnership” and the celebration of Ak Kalpak Day in Pakistan

On March 5, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a Round Table on the theme “Kyrgyzstan - Pakistan: Trade and Investment Partnership”, which coincided with the celebration of Ak Kalpak Day in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Opening the event, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan E. Beishembiev in his speech noted the special importance of the men's headdress - Ak Kalpak for the Kyrgyz people, telling the guests about its symbolism and sacred meaning.

During the round table, Ambassador E. Beishembiev made a detailed report "On the economic achievements of Kyrgyzstan in 2019, on the investment and export opportunities of the country."

Participants of the event were provided with information on investment, export and tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, with special emphasis on the huge potential for interaction between the business communities of the two countries in various fields, including agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical industries.

A thorough exchange of views between the Embassy and representatives of the Сhambers of commerce and industry of Pakistan took place as part of the Round Table, and as a result of the event, the Pakistani side was given a number of ready-made investment projects for consideration in Kyrgyzstan, including in Chui, Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions .

 The round table was attended by more than 30 guests from among representatives of government bodies of Pakistan, international and non-governmental organizations, as well as experts and journalists from leading analytical centers and media in Pakistan. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of trading, pharmaceutical, textile and travel companies: «RUPA Trading House», «ANZ Partners», «AWT Holidays», «Al-Falah Consultants Int»., «Khyber Aviation», «FBR» and others .

Following the event, a festive buffet reception was organized for guests in honor of Ak Kalpak Day in the Kyrgyz Republic.
