Kyrgyz passports has been extended

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted a resolution of March 9, 2021 No. 82 "On Amending the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic" On the Issues of Providing the Population with Identity Documents for Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons "dated May 19, 2020 No. 256".

In accordance with this resolution, the validity of the following documents has been temporarily extended until September 1, 2021:

1. For citizens outside the Kyrgyz Republic, a passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic (sample of 2004), which expires in the period from January 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021;

2. A general civil passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic (sample of 2006), which expires in the period from January 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021, with the exception of a passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic under 16 years of age.

At the same time, it was established that the above-mentioned passports with an extended validity period can be used to cross the state border of foreign states to enter (return) to the Kyrgyz Republic and leave the Kyrgyz Republic.

If necessary, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic staying abroad can apply to diplomatic or consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic to affix an appropriate mark on the extension of the validity period of the above passports.
