On April 11, 2019, within the participation in the 2nd major textile exhibition TEXPO-2019 “Emerging Pakistan”, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan E.Beishembiev met with Advisor to PM Imran Khan for Commerce, Investment, Industries and Production and Textile Mr.Abdul Razak Dawood.

During the meeting, Ambassador E.Beishembiev informed the Pakistani side about the export and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, highlighting the leading position of the Kyrgyz Republic on the export of textiles within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Speaking about the Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade and economic cooperation, the Head of the diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan stressed the need to use the wide opportunities provided by the Quadrilateral Traffic in Transit Agreement (QTTA) between China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

In turn, the Pakistani side noted that the current government of Pakistan, headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, pays special attention to developing cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, in particular with the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties also discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, in particular, the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Kyrgyz Republic to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit this year in Bishkek.
