On June 29, 2022, within the framework of his working visit to Gujranwala, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev visited the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he met with its President Muhammad Shoaib Butt, as well as honorary members.

In his speech, Ambassador U. Totuiaev emphasized that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the development of relations with each of the regions of Pakistan, especially taking into account the broad prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation. In this regard, he called on representatives of the Pakistani business to consider in more detail the possibility of expanding their activities with entering to the market of the Kyrgyz Republic and, in the future, to the markets of the EAEU countries, as well as investing in promising projects in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutual interest, including those related to the development of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, energy, mining, information technology, transport communications, and construction.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of representatives of the business community of Gujranwala to the Kyrgyz Republic this year to get acquainted with the market and research the prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
