On March 1, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev took part in the opening ceremony of “Central Asian Republics and Azerbaijan Facilitation Desk”. held at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of promoting the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Pakistan.

The event was also attended by the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the leadership and honorary members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In his speech, the Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev focused on the role of such initiatives in terms of informing about trade, investment, tourism and educational opportunities of friendly countries, which will help strengthen interregional cooperation. He proposed to consider the possibility of organizing large-scale business forums with the participation of representatives of the countries of Central Asia and Pakistan.

The participants of the event outlined the importance of developing regional initiatives, such as establishing sustainable transport (including rail) communications, implementing the “CASA-1000” and “TAPI” energy projects, as well as organizing regular flights between countries.

The information stand presents handouts, magazines and brochures with information about economic, investment and tourism opportunities in all countries. In addition, the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry assigned employees to interact with representatives of the business circles of the host country in terms of cooperation with the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.
