October 25, 2018 in the State Literary Museum of Yanka Kupala in Minsk held a literary evening, "Be a man every day," dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov. The evening was supported by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Belarus.

The event was attended by representatives of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in Minsk, representatives of the International Women's Club, intellectuals, artists, the media and Kyrgyz students.

In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Kubanychbek Omuraliev emphasized creativity Aitmatov "as an authentic phenomenon of spirit, talent, intelligence, bright and fully reflect the nature of the modern era and our contradictory being, Chingiz Aitmatov secured a deserved place in the history, in the grateful memory of friends admirers of the peoples".

On the creativity and personality of the writer was told by representatives of the diplomatic corps, writers, and activists of the Belarusian culture.

The guests were presented a documentary on the life and work of the writer, photo exhibition "Aitmatov - the diplomat".

The event sounded Edygeya monologue from the novel of the Belarusian language in the performance of the actors of the National Drama Theater named after M. Gorky. Student of the Belarusian State University, read poems Soronbaya Zhusueva "Kyrgyz-Uluu Chyngyzga" in the Kyrgyz language, devoted to Chingiz Aitmatov.
