Ministry of foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 28 of July 2018

In connection with the publications in the mass media of the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic concerning the participation of former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Usenov under the name of Daniel Uritsky in public events with the participation of representatives of the official authorities of the Republic of Belarus, today, on July 28, 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic summoned the provisional Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Belarus in the Kyrgyz Republic S.Ivanov.

During the meeting the Kyrgyz side conveyed a note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in which it expresses its protest against finding and carrying out activity on the territory of the Republic of Belarus of the convict in Kyrgyzstan for a life term of Daniyar Usenov, which is absolutely unacceptable.

The Kyrgyz side noted with regret that despite the focus of the Kyrgyz side in recent years on the activation of bilateral Kyrgyz-Belarusian cooperation in all areas, the mutual participation in integration associations such as the CIS, the EAEU, the CSTO, the continued support of the official Minsk activities of convicted former high-ranking officials of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Belarus once again harms bilateral friendly relations, causes discontent on the part of the Kyrgyz public , injures the feelings of relatives and friends of those killed and injured during the events of April 7, 2010.

The Kyrgyz side again urged the authorities of the Republic of Belarus to change its approach to this situation and fulfill its international obligations, which will correspond to the principles of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation laid down in the basic bilateral documents.
