With the assistance of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk, on October 5, 2023, a trilateral meeting was held in Bishkek between the Director of the State Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic Zh.Bakashova and the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk A.Aidarbekov with the Director of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences I.Lizunova (GPNTB SB RAS).

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation between the State Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Scientific Research Institute of the SB RAS in the field of joint implementation of research projects on the study of the book culture of the two states and the signing of a cooperation agreement until January 2024.

The sides expressed interest in organizing mutual visits of scientific delegations, in particular, the participation of the Kyrgyz scientific delegation in the international conference "LIBWAY-2024", which will be held in March 2024 in Novosibirsk, and the participation of the Siberian scientific delegation in the international conference of the State Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2024 were discussed.

Director of the State Scientific Research Institute of the SB RAS I.Lizunova informed that the library has its own dissertation council and graduate school and offered cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere by admitting students from the Kyrgyz Republic to the graduate school of the State Scientific Research Institute of the SB RAS in the direction of "library science, bibliography and book studies".

The issues of holding popular science lectures in Novosibirsk dedicated to the history of Kyrgyzstan with the participation of invited lecturers from the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed.

In order to further strengthen and expand cooperation and popularize Kyrgyz history and literature, it was agreed that the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk will participate in the implementation of the project "Center of Culture of Central Asia" at the State Scientific Research Institute of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2024, by assisting in the opening of a corner of the Kyrgyz Republic in the library.

In addition, a meeting was organized between Director of the GPNTB SB RAS I.Lizunova with the leadership of the Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, where the parties discussed issues of concluding a cooperation agreement between the two scientific libraries in the near future.
