On August 4, 2021, Mr.Amanbaev Baktybek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA met with Ms.Spahn, Acting Director of the U.S. Peace Corps. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, on Peace Corps activities in Kyrgyzstan. Mr. B.Amanbaev praised the Peace Corps' activities in Kyrgyzstan over the last thirty years in teaching students and teachers the English language and made proposals for future activities.  Ms. K.Spahn informed that, due to COVID-19 Peace Corps volunteers were taken out of Kyrgyzstan, but some of them work in virtual format.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to work together to improve the effectiveness of the Peace Corps in the future.
