On March 7, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada Amanbaev met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asia John Pommersheim.

During the meeting parties discussed topical issues of development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States of America.

Ambassador Amanbaev emphasized the importance of timely implementation of agreements reached at meetings at various levels, progressive development of bilateral trade and economic relations, including the need to expand cooperation between the banks of the two countries.

In turn, the American side expressed interest in strengthening and developing mutually beneficial Kyrgyz-American cooperation.
