Improving trade and economic relations between the United States and Kyrgyzstan

On March 28, 2024, Ambassador, of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with Jennifer Miel, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, the parties discussed enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Ambassador Amanbayev provided detailed information about the resource potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and the opportunities for developing private businesses. He also outlined the promising sectors of Kyrgyzstan's economy, including hydroenergy, critical minerals, agriculture, and textile industry, presenting concrete proposals for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the future.

Jennifer Miel, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, expressed support for the ambassador's proposals and emphasized the interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation between the United States and Kyrgyzstan. She also mentioned that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce brings together over 3 million American companies in various industries, highlighting broad opportunities for further expanding bilateral cooperation.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to collaborate on intensifying ties between the chambers of commerce and business circles of both countries.
