On May 24, 2022, Ambassador Tolendy Makeev met with the Director-General for Consular Affairs of the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs of Austria, Ambassador Petra Schneebauer at the Austrian Foreign Office in Vienna.

During the meeting, the parties had a fruitful exchange of views on Kyrgyz-Austrian relations, discussed the current state and prospects for further deepening cooperation on consular issues through bilateral consultations, stressed the importance of expanding the legal framework, which is designed to create favorable prerequisites for intensifying practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Austria on consular and legal issues.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue further contacts in aforementioned sphere with close coordination of the work of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
