The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, in collaboration with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Austria, participated in the International Charity Luncheon organized by the United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) on September 20, 2023, at the Vienna International Center of the United Nations. The funds received from the charity event were directed toward financing international programs aimed at assisting women and children worldwide.

Representatives from the permanent missions of several countries showcased their culinary traditions and national cuisines, presenting their cultures to the international community and guests. The Kyrgyz side exhibited stands featuring folk and applied arts, including unique felt products, illustrated publications about Kyrgyzstan, tourism brochures, and catalogs. The talented piano performance of classical works by Mozart by an 11-year-old Kyrgyz boy named Ramil Ernazar captivated all attendees.

Participants of the charity luncheon had the opportunity to sample various dishes from Kyrgyz national cuisine, including boorsok, chak-chak, samsy, kurut, and dried fruits, which enjoyed particular popularity among the guests.

For reference: The United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) in Vienna was established in 1967 as a charitable organization. The Guild's mission is to support children in developing countries through the implementation of international projects focused on maternal and child care.
