On September 24, 2023 the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Austria, in collaboration with the Kyrgyz diaspora, organized a cycling event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the State Language of the Kyrgyz Republic".

After a brief welcoming speech by Ambassador Tolendy Makeyev, who congratulated the participants on Independence Day and the Day of the State Language, the cycling event was officially launched.

Participants completed a total distance of 80 kilometers on bicycles, starting from Vienna and concluding in Tulln, enjoying the stunning landscapes of Austria along the Danube River. In honor of the Kyrgyz State Language Day, participants of the cycling event all the way spoke only the state language.  The youngest participant of the cycling event was 18-year-old Ainazik Aripova, while the oldest was 55-year-old Almazbek Ilebaev.

In an effort to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle, and to foster a spirit of unity and solidarity among the Kyrgyz diaspora abroad, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Austria plans to regularly organize sports events involving compatriots residing in Austria.
