On 6 October 2023 in Vienna, the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the OSCE, Ambassador T.Makeyev met with the Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on Central Asia, Member of the Parliament of the Netherlands Ms. Farah Karimi.

T.Makeyev congratulated Ms. F.Karimi on her appointment to a new position and expressed his readiness for close and constructive cooperation. He noted that the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic actively participates in the activity of the OSCE PA, thereby contributing to the strengthening of parliamentarism in the region and throughout the OSCE area.

Taking this opportunity, Ambassador T.Makeyev thanked the international observers of the OSCE PA, who over the years actively participated in the parliamentary and presidential elections held in Kyrgyzstan. He drew attention to the fact that the assessment of OSCE election observation missions is of great importance and contributes to the democratic development of our country and the improvement of the electoral system.

The parties agreed to continue further contact in order to deepen cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE PA.
