On 24 March 2022, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Italy has stabile and positive dynamics.

On these days, Kyrgyzstan and Italy are reliable partners in a wide range of bilateral relations. Over the years of cooperation between the states, parties established the regular political contacts at the level of heads of foreign ministries and inter-parliamentary ties; developed trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and constituted a steady dialogue within the European Union, UN and OSCE. Parties has effective cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia+Italy format.

A key moment in bilateral cooperation was the opening of a diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic in Rome. With the opening of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Italy in August 2020, bilateral relations between the states have significantly intensified.

Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates the friendly relations with Italy and is ready for further joint work on the basis of mutual desire to respect and strengthen democratic values.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Luigi Di Maio exchanged with congratulatory letters.

The Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening constructive cooperation in all areas of interaction.
