On January 23, 2024, took place meeting of the Ambassadors of the Central Asian countries with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Edmondo Cirielli at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalai Bazarbaev participated in the event on behalf of the Kyrgyz side.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on current issues of interregional cooperation, discussion of interaction within the framework of international organizations and regional platforms.

In particular, issues of content for the upcoming meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs in the “Italy + Central Asia” format, which will be held in 2024 in Rome, were discussed. This event will be held as part of Italy's presidency of the Group of Seven (G7).
