June 25, 2019, in Doha, by the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, Mr. Avazbek Atakhanov, Charge d'Affaires of the Kyrgyz Republic in the State of Qatar met with Mr. Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida, Assistant CEO Operations and International Partnerships at Qatar Charity.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation in the implementation of technical and humanitarian assistance projects in the Kyrgyz Republic through the Qatar Charity.

At the end of the meeting, there was reached an agreement on the realization of various charitable projects in close coordination with the relevant state bodies of the two countries, as well as the organization of mutual visits.

It should be noted that since the beginning of its activities in the Kyrgyz Republic, Qatar Charity has provided charitable assistance in the amount of $ 8.2 million. On November 27, 2017, the Qatar Charity Office was opened in Bishkek.

For reference: Qatar Charity Organization “Qatar Charity” was founded in 1992 and is one of the largest charitable organizations in the Middle East. In the period from 2012 to 2017, the organization provided charitable assistance in the amount of $ 1.3 billion. Around the world, about 30 representative offices of this organization were opened. It has been in consultative status with the UN ECOSOC since 1997.
