On May 31, 2022, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Bulgaria with a residence in the city of Kyiv met with the Head of the Department of the Directorate of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria P. Georgiev and the Head of the Department of Visa Policy of the Directorate of Consular Service I. Motev.

The Embassy noted promising areas of interaction between the countries, interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation by organizing visits of the heads of foreign affairs ministries and holding inter-MFA consultations, as well as business forums.

The Sides expressed their readiness to exchange mutual support on international platforms and increase trade between the two countries.

In turn, the Bulgarian Side stressed that it attaches great importance to the development of relations with Kyrgyzstan and is ready to develop cooperation in all aspects of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the Sides reached an agreement to intensify political dialogues, intensify work to expand the legal framework and liberalize the visa regime for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.
