Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Moldogaziev delivered a speech at the plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OSCE participating States

On December 1, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev spoke at the plenary meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council which is taking place in Łódź, Poland.

In his speech, the Head of the Kyrgyz delegation called on the participating States to search for solutions to resolve conflicts in the OSCE space on the basis of the Organization's mechanisms for conflict prevention and crisis management.

He noted the need to adherence to universally recognized norms and principles of international law laid down in the UN Charter and the OSCE Helsinki Final Act including such as sovereign equality, territorial integrity, non-interference in the internal affairs of the state. He also recalled the principles laid down in the basis of OSCE of the indivisibility of security and the obligation not to ensure the interests of national security at the expense of the interests of others.

In this regard, he stressed that Kyrgyzstan always stands for the settlement of conflicts exclusively through peaceful negotiations and political and diplomatic means.

Speaking about regional security, Aibek Moldogaziev emphasized the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to the promotion of integration processes in Central Asia. In particular, he noted that trade, economic, energy, transport and other types of interaction between the Central Asian states are a solid basis for ensuring the stability and security of our region.

Regarding the interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE, he noted with appreciation that over the 30-year period of cooperation, significant results have been achieved in carrying out broad and positive changes in all spheres of life in the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular, in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring the security of the country

He informed about the current priority areas of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE in such areas as the fight against corruption and organized crime, digitalization and effective public administration, reform of the judicial and law enforcement systems, ecology and climate, sustainable socio-economic development.
