On September 22, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait Azamat Karagulov held a meeting with the Governor of the Capital Governorate Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al Sabah.

Ambassador A. Karagulov highlighted the main achievements of the Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti cooperation and the plans of the parties for the near future, including the organization of visits, the intensification of cooperation between state bodies, the exchange of land plots for the buildings of the embassies premises of the two states, etc. As positive effects, he noted the increase in the number of Kuwaiti tourists to Kyrgyzstan with the opening of direct flights between Bishkek and Kuwait this summer.

Sheikh Talal Al Sabah noted the positive feedback and impressions of Kuwaiti citizens from visiting Kyrgyzstan and the interest of the governorship to promote further interaction between municipal and private business structures of the two capitals. A thorough exchange of views took place between the parties on a wide range of issues.

Ambassador A. Karagulov also expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for the high attention of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan and the successful activities of Kuwaiti charitable organizations aimed at implementing socially oriented projects in the capital and regions of the country.
