During the period from November 2 to November 5, 2022, Kyrgyz entrepreneurs from the sphere of light industry completed a business mission to Naples, Italy

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Italy, with the assistance of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic “Legprom”, the Association of Fashion and Textiles of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized a business mission to Naples and the region of Campania, from November 2 to 5, 2022.

The purpose of the mission was to establish cooperation with Italian branding companies and study their advanced manufacturing experience in the garment and textile industries.

During the four days, domestic entrepreneurs met with representatives of leading Italian companies. Kyrgyz manufacturers was able to get acquainted with the Italian experience in the production of men's, women's clothing and accessories of its own brand such as: “Loro Piana”, “Désireé”, “Kocca”, “Posillipo” “Martissima”, “Nazareno Gabrielli”, “Borrelli”, etc., visited Italian factories and ateliers, discussed issues of conducting marketing research, engineering and design, as well as prospects for potential mutual cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition, the Kyrgyz delegation visited the “CIS di Nola”, the largest commercial distribution center in Europe, during which a presentation was held for representatives of Italian business about conditions, preferences, opportunities, as well as the production and export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of light industry.

In order to establish trade and economic ties, a number of meetings were also held with the adviser to the Mayor of Naples, K.Marciani, representatives of the Export Credit Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Italy (SACE), as well as meetings of T.Bazarbayev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Italy, in Benevento with the Mayor K.Mastella and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry A.Campese.

As a result of the trip, domestic manufacturers were able to get acquainted with the best practices of Italian companies in the field of light industry and get answers to questions they have. At the same time, representatives of Italian companies expressed interest in cooperation with domestic sewing enterprises and asked to send commercial proposals for further study.

Following the visit, the parties reached a preliminary agreement on organizing a visit of representatives of Italian companies to the Kyrgyz Republic in December 2022 to study the market and further possible placement of their production.
